The salty, sweet, spicy nuts pair perfectly with a cold beer on a summer's day. The business approach was to have the nuts served at breweries in the Vancouver area. The casual, comfortable, fun feeling of grabbing a beer with friends on a summer's day is encapsulated with the packaging.

During the second round of packaging designs it was also important to the owners to build off of the first round stickers but this time incorporate more of an East Van/skate vibe. To keep costs down we went for a 2 colour print on the bags, with the possibility of having a brighter palette in the future.

Deliverables: Logo, brand, packaging.

The main elements of this branding project are the primary logo with the peanut shaped ‘O’, the bright colour palette, the arch and the geometric pattern. This pattern was inspired by Mexican traditional woven blankets and simplified to create an engaging visual language to this project that pairs nicely with the weight of the main typeface.

By using red, yellow, blue and orange we were speaking to the vibrant colours of Mexico, and of summer-time. The yellow and red are the main colours and often make people think of food. They are used here to reflect the salty, spiced peanuts. This playful palette paired with bold friendly typography, make the brand feel casual, inviting, and fun.
